the HOUSE!

Hey All!! Haven't posted in a bit so i figured I'd post about one of my favorite things right now.. OUR HOUSE!! It has gone up so fast i've missed getting pictures of the foundation.. but that's not interesting anyways.

This is the outside of the house. We havea single car garage and the window looks into our computer room!! I'm falling more in love with this house the more progress that is made!

Our little garage. I told Jas the other day that when we move out of this house we won't know what to do with a 2 car garage!

This is the computer room with a large closet. The picture is taken through the garage so it isn't doing justice.

This is the guest bedroom. This room is the same size as the computer room. We have big plans for every room so stay tuned to see how we decorate and what each room turns out to be!!

This is the hall bathroom which will include a shower and all that good stuff. You can also see the laundry room right beside the bathroom!

Welcome to our house! This is the front door... and YES, it is on the side of our house! Different but certainly growing on me.

This is the walk in closet and bathroom in our room. You walk from our room through the bathroom to the closet. (You can see the garage on the other side of the closet)

This is our bedroom. We will put our bed between the windows.. it's definitely not a large room by any means. Big enough for us though!!

This is the dining room which is joined with the living room and kitchen.

From the front door you walk into our living room!

This is our pantry which is in our kitchen. It will be filled with NOTHING..unless Jas stocks it up with junk food which is most likely what will happen!

Last but not least, our KITCHEN!!

Hope you enjoyed the little tour of our itty bitty house. We are so excited that it is coming together and we cannot wait to decorate. We've got some pretty crazy ideas of what we want our house to be. Just a sneak peek for you.. here is a chair we bought for the living room...hope you like it as much as we do!!!

wedding dress purchased!!

Here with some updates!!

This weekend we bought my wedding dress!! I purposely went to a bridal boutique with the dress i loved previously so i could try on some dresses for comparison. My mom and I picked out dresses and low and behold found one that is very pretty and so much less expensive than the first dress i liked. The boutique was offering 20% off if purchased that day so all together we got a great deal! I actually got the dress customized to my likings.. I got 3 feet of train cut off!! (I know what some are thinking but I knew I didn't want that much train.. and trust me there is plenty left) I changed the silhouette from a trumpet waist line to a tight fitting A-line. I will not have a veil even though everyone is trying to persuade me.. I'm hoping I don't crack and walk down the aisle with a veil. we shall see. My dress should be in by December then I'll have it altered for bridal portraits around March and then in MAY it will be perfectly fit for the wedding!!

Also this weekend the some of the bridesmaids ordered their dresses. I'm so ready to see how theirs will look!

We have to book our caterer. we're using Jim-n-Nicks BBQ. We have scheduled our engagement pictures for September 25th. We are trying to make invitations but they are not turning out just yet. We have quite a bit to get done.

Also, we met with our contractor on Thursday and they are putting down the foundation and the estimated closing date will be in November!!

Lots going on in our lives..
Enjoy!

dilema..

though i haven't posted lately.. i'm feeling the need to blog out my issue at the moment. i'm really in a crunch to find a dress soon and seeing as it is tax free weekend this weekend i'd love to do it then. however, i've been looking at dresses online to go try on this weekend and i've found one i really really love. sounds good right? wrong. out of every retailer in SC none of them sell the dress here. i wish i could leave it at that and say well it wasn't meant to be but i'm a go getter and i want to try this dress on. it's rustic with suttle details, very different from many other dresses and best of all it's in my price range!!! what to do? do i let the dress go or do i pursue my desires and find some place that sells it?

p.s we're buying a software program that will hopefully allow us to make our own invitations so that will be the next thing on our list. stay tuned!
