Happy 4 year Anniversary Jas!

October 26th marks our 4 year anniversary... some days it seems like the last 4 years have flown by and others it seems like they have dragged on and on.

Here's a look at the past 4 years in our lives

2005- I met Jason during the summer when I came to his church to play in a rec basketball league. Jason and I got to know each other for a few months and then after church we met at Taco Bell and Jason and me if I would be his girlfriend. I said yes and a month later we celebrated my 17th birthday (yes we are young!) and our one month anniversary.. [i laugh because we never could have imagined 4 years later we'd still be together and planning our wedding] We talked on the phone for hours and hours at night and asked each other EVERY single question you could possibly ask one another. We could kick ourselves for not writing a book.

2006- This year is a blur to me, unfortunately. I remember in February we told each other we loved each other. ( I think back and wonder how in 4 months, at such a young age we knew there was something so much different about our relationship... and we knew we loved each other but we didn't know that it was an inckling of what it is today) I remember texting WAY too much in class because we went to two different schools.

2007- We graduated HS and started college. I think 2007 was when our families realized we were more serious and not just young kids crazy about each other. We started talking about how much we wanted to be together FOREVER and EVER :) (jas is going to kill me for putting our mushy gushy stuff on here for everyone to read but.. life goes on) We went on a mission trip to NY and it was AMAZING!! Jason and I grew so very much closer and it was an amazing experience to use one of my favorite things, basketball to teach people about Jesus. I desire to that again.. more than that I desire to do medical missions when I'm out of school. We both have so much passion for helping people... those are things we can accomplish in our next 4 years :)

2008- I got accepted into nursing school..(later I was to find out how much of my life that would consume) and we celebrated that HUGE blessing. We visited our families and went on a lot of vacations. We went to Virginia, Iowa, the mountains, and the beach.. A LOT. We talked alot about the 'perfect' ring.. and how jason would ask me to marry him. (I thought he was going to ask me in July 2010.. well actually I told him he had to because I couldn't wait any longer.. yes I just admitted that to the WHOLE world..) He asked me on December 21, 2008 at Edisto Beach. It was a HUGE surprise.

2009- We started to plan our wedding... and we still continue to do so! In June we started building our first home which is set to close next week. We got more wedding planning done. We're eager for school to get over with. Only 3 semesters of nursing school left and a few more until Jason graduates with his degree in youth ministry and minor in religion. We're super excited about the next 6 months until our wedding day. We've got tons more to finish planning but it is getting so close!

That has been our last 4 years in a nut shell with many memories that I could never forget.
-Halloween Extravaganza (the first year): I really started to like Jason.. I mean I really started to get an eye for him. We laughed and laughed and it was sooo much fun! The car ride home was CRAZY.. Jason rode curled up on my lap all the way home..
-Our first trip to the fair was interesting. That's all I can say about that.
- All the times we've played basketball and hurt each other. Just for the record I've punched Jason in his nose, he's busted lip, pushed each other down... and none of it was intentional.
-Pahaaa, how could I forget the first time we met. Jason popped his shoulder out and needed ice and he came to the concession stand and said, 'get me ice.' my response: 'get it yourself.' (we thought the other was a jerk)
- all those times we walked on the beach and the many car rides home, those were the days!
- the many toodles we gave each other.
-the times i didn't want you to leave so i cried every time you left me. (i'm a super huge baby when it comes to him! sad i know)

Jas, I loved you so much then but I love you so much more now. Thank you for spending the last 4 years with me and thank you for asking me to be your wife. I cannot wait to spend many more years with you, growing old with you, and experiencing all that life has to offer. You are my rock and I could not imagine life without you. I am so looking forward to being your wifey. I love you with all my heart.

this kind of l<3ve

Lately, I've been overwhelmed with feelings of love for my FANTASTIC fiance! I mean don't get me wrong.. I've always loved him with all my heart but I truly have never felt it so deep. We've been dating since we were 16 years old (now going on 21).. to some this doesn't seem like long but i've spent the best years of my life with him... and I plan on spending many more, God willing! It seems like times a good when I'm not around him but when I'm with him life is GREAT! He truly goes out of his way to make sure i'm happy and he strives to love me as best he can and that to me is so selfless because I know i'm a hand full. I'm moody, loud, silly, strong willed, and a BIG BABY! But he loves me... he always tells me how much he loves me so that I always know.. I never doubt that i'm loved. He tells me I'm beautiful and how much he misses me. I have been thinking about all these things that he does that make me feel special and I realized these were all words.. words mean so much but actions speak louder than words.. so i thought about EVERYTHING he does for me.. he lets me skip class and takes notes for me when i'm sick, he gets me water when i'm thirsty, he lifts me up when i'm discouraged, he reminds me of how much Jesus loves me when i'm struggling, he knows me so well that without words he knows what i'm feeling and what he can do to help.. I am so lucky!!

I have been thinking about when Jason proposed to me and the look on his face.. he was sooo happy! He suprised me *for the first time EVER* he got the perfect ring.. he made my heart drop to my toes when I looked beside me and saw this gorgeous man on one knee with a smile from ear to ear asking ME to marry him.. I just do not know how I got such an amazing man.

And I've been praying for those that don't have this kind of love .. that everyone would find that person God made for them. Someone to treat them right, make them laugh, know them so deeply that words aren't needed.

just to blog

oh me, oh my... it has been busy around here. however, i hate to report that none of it has been because of wedding things. i totally slacked over this summer.. i'm a list keeper and i like to check things off but this summer i neither followed nor checked off any of my list. we were suppose to register for our bridal showers ... but.. that doesn't look like it will get done until around December(if we're lucky!) The best part of it all is that i'm okay with the fact that nothing got done!! Go me (this is really good for me because i totally freak when things don't go according to planned.. so i'm learning to chill out.. though i DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT have this mastered just yet!)

so with the hustle and bustle of our junior years coming to full force i'm just taking it one day at a time. i've adopted a new mind set this year.. if i'm ahead then i'm not behind and each day is it's own.. so i've chosen to keep on top of my assignments (however, i can't say i've been keeping up with studying.. oh well!!) and i've made lists which i could care less if get accomplished in a timely fashion. i feel a lot less stressed.. however, i'm still stressed. did i mention i was in nursing school? ahhh, talk about crazy! so far i've seen a robot give birth (yep! that's right.. a robot!!) and taken pages upon pages of notes.. oh, and played with needles!! haha, to those that don't know the life of a nurse you'd think i'm crazy but to those that do.. it's daily life! now that i'm rambling..

here are some updates.. our house is coming along and the wedding.. well yea that will get done before May 28,2010.. for sure.. if not then it will just have to be left out! (can you tell i like dots..)

so much for now. ps. i miss my family and cannot wait to see everyone again.. i had tons of fun with the fam from NY (yes ma'am.. thats you Cheryl) and i'm already missing my little cousins who are back in school. what am i going to do when i'm married and everyone is living life? i vote.. TRAVEL! hint..hint Jas.. SAVE UP ;)

Well i'm off for now. Enjoy!

the HOUSE!

Hey All!! Haven't posted in a bit so i figured I'd post about one of my favorite things right now.. OUR HOUSE!! It has gone up so fast i've missed getting pictures of the foundation.. but that's not interesting anyways.

This is the outside of the house. We havea single car garage and the window looks into our computer room!! I'm falling more in love with this house the more progress that is made!

Our little garage. I told Jas the other day that when we move out of this house we won't know what to do with a 2 car garage!

This is the computer room with a large closet. The picture is taken through the garage so it isn't doing justice.

This is the guest bedroom. This room is the same size as the computer room. We have big plans for every room so stay tuned to see how we decorate and what each room turns out to be!!

This is the hall bathroom which will include a shower and all that good stuff. You can also see the laundry room right beside the bathroom!

Welcome to our house! This is the front door... and YES, it is on the side of our house! Different but certainly growing on me.

This is the walk in closet and bathroom in our room. You walk from our room through the bathroom to the closet. (You can see the garage on the other side of the closet)

This is our bedroom. We will put our bed between the windows.. it's definitely not a large room by any means. Big enough for us though!!

This is the dining room which is joined with the living room and kitchen.

From the front door you walk into our living room!

This is our pantry which is in our kitchen. It will be filled with NOTHING..unless Jas stocks it up with junk food which is most likely what will happen!

Last but not least, our KITCHEN!!

Hope you enjoyed the little tour of our itty bitty house. We are so excited that it is coming together and we cannot wait to decorate. We've got some pretty crazy ideas of what we want our house to be. Just a sneak peek for you.. here is a chair we bought for the living room...hope you like it as much as we do!!!
